Chalk Walk Arts Festival – Jasper, IN

Location: Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, 100 Third Avenue, Jasper
The 22nd Annual Chalk Walk Arts Festival transforms downtown Jasper into a colorful canvas. Participants of all ages can showcase their creativity by chalking the sidewalks. The event features balloon art, caricature drawings, bounce houses, t-shirt tie-dyeing, and more.
Registration is required to participate in the event. In case of rain, many activities will move indoors at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center.
This year, enjoy a special performance by Squonk, presenting “Brouhaha,” an interactive musical spectacle featuring the audience-played Squonkcordion
Community in Bloom – Ferdinand, IN
Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: Various locations throughout Ferdinand.
Celebrate the beauty of spring at Ferdinand’s “Community in Bloom” event. Sponsored by Framing Ferdinand, this town-wide celebration offers floral displays, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to explore local businesses. Participating merchants will be offering in-store specials/promotions & special activities and are also offering free seed packets. Check out the flyer with a list of vendors that will be in attendance & enjoy the day along Main Street!
Old Jasper Day & Strawberry Festival – Jasper, IN
Date: Sunday, May 18, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Dave Buehler Plaza, Jasper Riverwalk & Old Jasper District
Experience Jasper’s heritage at Old Jasper Day, featuring the beloved Lions Club Strawberry Festival. Enjoy strawberry-themed treats, live music at the gazebo, Spirit of Jasper train rides ($3 per person), and free horse-drawn wagon rides . Additional activities include face painting, historical walking tours, and the annual Patoka 2000 Duck Race. The Historic Barn, Alexander Schoolhouse, and Jasper City Mill will also be open for tours.
