Baseball lovers from around the Country are awed at the nostalgia of Huntingburg League Stadium, located in Huntingburg, Indiana and home field to the Rockford Peaches in the hit movie “A League of Their Own” featuring Tom Hanks and Geena Davis.
When you enter the gates to the wooden stadium, it’s as if you’ve stepped back into the golden age of the game with the vintage scoreboard and original advertisements remaining along the outfield fence. Tours are now available to learn the history of the stadium, which originally was the grandstand to the County fairgrounds prior to the demolition and construction of the movie set. Get “behind the scenes” stories from locals that assisted with the filming of the movie on the tour and stand in the exact spot Tom Hanks said the famous saying…”There’s No Crying in Baseball!”
