SUBJECT: The 5th Annual Juneteenth Community Event at The Thyen-Clark Cultural Center
EVENTS DATE: Saturday, June 6th, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm

Join Jasper Arts and The Jasper Public Library in celebrating The 5th Annual Juneteenth Community Event in the Atrium in the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center this Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11:00am – 1:00pm.

Enjoy an afternoon celebrating the anniversary of June 19, 1865, an annual holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States!

The afternoon event collaboration with The Jasper Public Library will feature multiple booths represented by community members and organizations focusing on historical figures, events and activities.

The event will feature delicious soul food samplings, community booths, line dancing for all, music, poetry reading, arts and crafts, trivia, story reading, activities and games.

Featured giveaways include Library swag bags, Jasper Arts Workshop Gift Certificates, Jasper Arts Performance Tickets and a ‘Party with The Dubois County Bombers’.

DC Bomber Party Prize includes 25 tickets for the winner to host 24 of their friends in a private group space, located along the top walkway of the stadium on either the 1st base or 3rd base sides. It includes 4 hi-top tables plus 16 bar stools for a combination of sitting/standing. Watch the DC Bombers with one of the best views of League Stadium!

The Juneteenth Event is an Open House, family-friendly, open to all ages, and FREE!
