Chocolate Bliss and Kitchen Essentials:
Located around the square in Downtown Jasper, you will find Chocolate Bliss and Kitchen Essentials. When walking into this shop you will be welcomed with an armoire of chocolate, coffee, and spices. Strolling through you will find chocolate covered pretzels, a variety of fudge, buckeye balls, and chocolate covered cherries to just name a few. If you want sweet candy, you will find sour worms, freeze dried jolly ranchers and skittles, along with rice Krispie treats on a stick, and many more. When it comes to the kitchen side you will see everything from serving platters, sauces, dips, spices, and cooking pans. Don’t forget about the cookie cutters and all the cute dish towels.
What started out as a small personalized store in her house turned into a huge store front with personalized gifts, 90 different flavors of gourmet popcorn, a large variety of gourmet and novelty chocolates, fruit bouquets, fruit kabobs, and chocolate covered strawberries. They have the most amazing caramel apples! Which is all made right in the store. In 2019 they added fresh flowers. So, if you are looking for a fresh boutique for a loved one or a bereavement gift they can help with flowers or a gift. This is for sure a one stop shop!
If you are more of a cookie person you need to check out the Monastery Baked Goods located down from the “Castle on the Hill” in Ferdinand. Made at the monastery, baking cookies is a hands-on process with a personal touch and a divine dimension. They have buttermint cookies, chocolate/strawberry Neapolitan, rosemary butter shortbread cookies, and mint julep. They also make a Hildegard cookie that is suppose to help with ageing. You will also find springerle cookies and gingersnap cookies in the gift shop. It may not be a cookie, but their pretzels are really good! You must give them a try when you are there.
I just had to add this one to our list of sweet treat places. They just opened their doors in Ferdinand. The shop may be small, but the cookies and cupcakes are delicious. They offer cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and cinnamon rolls along with a few other items. She also sells a few retail items like wreaths and towels.
