SPECIAL STRASSENFEST WEEKEND OPENING RECEPTION & GALLERY TALK:

Jasper Arts is pleased to present the work of former Jasper artist, now residing in Floyds Knobs, IN, Erin Hochgesang for the months starting on July 30 through August and September at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center.
The solo exhibition features a variety of textiles, embroidery, batik, and watercolor.
Erin Hochgesang is a natural dyer and textile artist living in the Indiana countryside. Her work is a slow, ritual practice—an extension of her heart—deeply rooted in nature and tradition. Over the past ten years, she has explored mediums including watercolor, batik, hand embroidery, and botanical dyeing. When she’s not working with textiles, Erin is a licensed art therapist and tends to her beloved chickens and cats.
Erin will join us for a special opening the night of the Jasper Strassenfest for an Opening Reception and Gallery Talk on Thursday, July 30th, from 5:00 – 7:00pm.
Free event and open to the public.
The galleries at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, located at 100 3rd Avenue, Suite A, Jasper, IN 47546, are open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm. School groups, clubs, and students are welcome. Admission is free. Donations appreciated.
