(Jasper, Indiana) – Tours and demonstrations will take place during the Strassenfest on Saturday, August 3 at the Alexander Schoolhouse, Jasper City Mill, Schaeffer Barn, and Spirit of Jasper Train.
The Alexander One-Room Schoolhouse will be open for tours starting at 9:00am until 3:00pm. A special movie, Banished into Paradise will be played on repeat from 11:00am – 1:00pm inside.
The Jasper City Mill will be open from 9:00am – 5:00pm with live music on the porch by Jed Guillaume & the Sweet Water Band from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.
The Schaeffer Barn rooms including the display room will be open from 10:00am – 2:00pm with demonstrations of stone cutting from 11:00am – 1:00pm and crosscut sawing.
The Spirit of Jasper Train will have 1-hour rides with snacks. A cash bar is available onboard. Tickets are $10/person. Departure times are set for 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00pm, and 6:30pm. Reserve your tickets online at spiritofjaspertrain.com or by calling (812)482-5959.
