Very few places can truly blend natural beauty, agriculture and industrial development the way Ferdinand does. The strong elements of faith, religion, family values, work ethics, sense of community, and appreciation of environment, form the foundation upon which Ferdinand was built, and continues to grow.

Tour the “Castle on the Hill”
Home to one of the largest communities of Benedictine women in the Country, the Monastery Immaculate Conception welcomes visitors to experience their way of life. Seek. Pray. Share. is their motto. The Sister’s of St. Benedict offer guided tours, have beautiful gardens on site to explore & reflect. Visit the Monastery Gift Shop and don’t forget to stop in at St. Benedicts Brew Works, a local brewery housed right on the grounds of the Monastery.
We had a wonderful tour of this monastery. The Sisters serve as tour guides of their monastery and explain it’s long history. Wonderful Hildergrad cookies are available in the gift shop and a brewery is opening for your craft beer tasting. Highly recommend you take a guided tour of this facility.
