As the celestial phenomenon of the Solar Eclipse draws near, be sure to make plans for the once-in-a-lifetime event! The solar eclipse is poised to be a momentous event, attracting visitors from far and wide to witness the awe-inspiring spectacle, so planning is crucial.

With Dubois County situated in the path of totality, local businesses and organizations have prepared a full weekend of fun, extending into Monday, April 8, the actual day of the eclipse.

Beginning on Thursday, April 4th, Heart of Jasper is kicking off the celebration at the first Downtown Chowdown of 2024, featuring a variety of food trucks & live music in the gazebo! The Jasper Library will be offering eclipse themed games & activities for kids!

Eclipse Extravaganza at Traditional Arts Today! Enjoy kids workshops (registration is required) & browse the captivating artworks, savor cosmic confections & complimentary tea & coffee. 

St. Benedict’s Brew Works in Ferdinand: Taproom will be open the regular daily schedule. We will be serving special foods and selling apparel, solar eclipse glasses, stickers and glassware. On Sunday we’ll welcome Neil Yockey to our outdoor stage from 2 to 4 pm.
