Ireland Historical Society

The oldest building in Ireland

Ireland Historical Society

Built in 1878 as the Ireland Methodist Church, this structure is the oldest building in Ireland, a charming town just a few miles west of Jasper. The building has been refurbished and now serves as a meeting house for civic events and organizations. The main floor features the Ireland Historical Chapel, which may be used for weddings as requested, while the basement highlights the “Walls of History,” a 1,000 picture and fact collection covering the interior.
