The Celebration Singers will present a FREE concert at Huntingburg United Methodist Church, 416 N Main, Huntingburg on Sunday, September 13th at 3:00 p.m. EDT.  The public is invited to attend the one-hour program which will feature songs celebrating Faith and Freedom. Featuring approximately 60 voices this season, the all-volunteer non-profit community choir is comprised of musicians from Dubois, Spencer, Pike, Martin and Monroe Counties.  There is no admission charge; however, free-will donations will be gratefully accepted for the benefit of Shared Abundance in Huntingburg.  Additional information about the Celebration Singers is available at www.celebrationsingers.org and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheCelebrationSingers.

Create your own one-of-a-kind ocean scene on glass with artist Becky Polster! You’ll design an 8″x10″ ocean-inspired piece using crushed glass, rocks, shells, and resin to create texture and dimension.

Feel free to bring your own special items from home to incorporate into your design, as long as they are non-porous. 

Whether you create a mermaid’s tail, a peaceful shoreline, or something completely your own, you’ll leave with a unique piece of ocean-inspired art. 

No prior experience is necessary; just come ready to have fun and get a little sparkly!

Please note, all supplies are included but you must bring a pair of nitrile powder free gloves to protect your hands.

Explore this timeless art form in a supportive and creative environment with artists Lindsey and Mick Riecken. You’ll choose between two designs, and learn the entire process of making your own beautiful stained glass suncatcher from start to finish—no prior experience needed!

You’ll learn how to:
• Safely work on stained glass projects
• Choose and cut glass pieces
• Use a grinder to shape the pieces perfectly
• Foil, burnish, and solder designs together
• Clean, polish, and hang finished pieces

By the end of the class, you’ll have a stunning, 4″x6″ stained glass suncatcher to take home, along with a new set of skills!

Important Notes:
• We will break for 20-30 minutes for lunch. Please bring your own lunch, snacks, or drinks.
• Dress comfortably and wear closed-toe shoes for safety.

Stained glass tools and supplies, for use during class, are provided with the support of Friends of the Arts, Inc.

Interested in discovering the possibilities within the world of basket weaving? Twined basketry is a great starting point. Its versatility and flexibility make it welcoming to all skill levels.

Within this class, you will learn the fundamentals of weaving a twined basket by creating a set of two bowls. Demonstrations will discuss topics such as how to start and finish a basket, how to modify the basket’s shape, as well as how to add patterned designs.

Discussions about pattern generation will include a variety of global traditions including ones that are textile and non-textile based, digital and non-digital. By the end of the class, you will be able to incorporate your own creativity to make functional pieces you can share.

While most supplies will be provided, it is encouraged for participants to bring the following items:
• Journal
• By the second class, bring additional yarn. It will need to be gauge 4, either cotton or wool

If you are interested in taking the class, but have a reoccurring hand injury, or condition such as arthritis, it is important to take breaks. The repeated small hand movements could potentially affect your condition.

​Frankenstein: The Radio Play transports audiences back in time, blending classic radio storytelling with imaginative sound effects and minimal staging. Captain Robert Walton’s expedition to the Arctic takes an unexpected turn when he rescues the exhausted Victor Frankenstein, who recounts the horrifying consequences of his ambition to create life. As Victor’s abandoned Creature struggles with rejection and loneliness, a deadly conflict unfolds between creator and creation, leading them on a relentless pursuit driven by guilt, revenge, and the consequences of playing with forces beyond human control.

Frankenstein: The Radio Play will be presented October 8–10, 2026, at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center Black Box Theatre.

Get into the fall spirit with a fun and creative cookie decorating class with baker Kerigan Pund!

Participants will decorate a set of four fall-themed cookies, including a pumpkin, football, autumn leaf, and pumpkin spice latte. Kerigan will walk you through decorating techniques and share tips for creating cookies that look as good as they taste.

This class is a fun way to spend an evening creating something delicious—no experience necessary! Come decorate, get creative, and leave with four cookies to enjoy or share.

Create a journal that’s completely your own in this hands-on class with artist Anna Seifert. You’ll build your journal from a mix of unexpected materials, including recycled papers, old book covers, scrapbook pieces, tea- and coffee-dyed paper, and more!

You’ll learn how to combine papers, textures, and embellishments to create pages with your own style, then learn the basics of binding and finishing your journal. Use it for writing, sketching, photos, keepsakes, lists, or whatever you want to fill it with.

No two journals will look alike, and there’s no “right” way to make one. Come experiment, make something personal, and see where your ideas take you!

Ages 12 and up.

Explore the versatility of the disappearing 4-patch quilt block in this intermediate quilting class with Patti Schroeder and Deb Souders! 

You’ll learn how to piece a traditional four-patch and then transform it into a more intricate design through cutting and rearranging the blocks.

Along the way, you’ll explore how fabric placement and pattern choices can create a variety of different looks. You’ll also discover a few clever techniques that make this seemingly complex design easier to create.

Please note, most supplies are included but you must bring your sewing machine, rotary cutter, and cutting mat.
