Janice Carissa moved to the US from Indonesia at the age of 14 to study at the Curtis Institute of Music with Gary Graffman and Robert McDonald. She is Gilmore Young Artist and winner of Salon de Virtuosi, and is currently completing post-graduate studies at the Juilliard School. Recent and upcoming season highlights include recitals with Portland Ovations, Festival Napa Valley, the Gilmore Festival, Duke Arts, the Bay Area Steinway Society, and the Lied Center of Kansas. Orchestral engagements include performances with the Nashville Symphony, San Diego Symphony and Bartok 2 with Osmo Vänskä and the Curtis Symphony Orchestra.
