What a perfect setting for such a beautiful event! I learned so much and it was so picturesque. Fantastic music! Even met a Potawatomi Indian in traditional costume! They had 600 children who visited from the local schools and the exhibitors said that was such a great part, to be able to share pioneer traditions with the youngsters, such as how men would shake hands and the women would curtsy as men tipped their hats. Please do this at least once every year, if not twice a year, spring and fall! It is a wonderful way to celebrate the pioneer background of our country and county, and learn how the rugged pioneers lived each day and the hard work it took to survive. What a wonderful event! Thank you to everybody who helped make this happen.
