The first ever Bud Light Country Music and Brew Fest will be taking place from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Riverwalk in Jasper, Indiana. People from all around will join together along the scenic Patoka River in Jasper to enjoy the sounds of great music courtesy of three remarkably talented country performers.
Haywire Band will open the festival, taking the stage at 11 a.m. EST. Haywire brings the hottest sounds in Southern Indiana and has opened up for some of the biggest names in country music, including Brad Paisley and Toby Keith. Dusty Miller handles the lead vocals and has been praised for his large vocal range. Levi Shields sings backup vocals and plays piano and other instruments; lately, he has been seen carrying a fiddle case ready to play the fiddle hot. Greg Eaton provides great harmonies as well as tasty guitar solos. Craig Brown plays the drums, and Roy Boyer is the bass player. Together they make up an extremely talented ensemble.
Following Haywire, the Linda Smith Band will take the stage at 1 p.m. EST. This talented band has opened for artists including Kris Kristofferson, Nathan Osmond, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Confederate Railroad, Kentucky Headhunters, The Judds, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Bryan White, Stonewall Jackson, Sawyer Brown, among others. They give a performance that all ages can enjoy, bringing a variety of music from country, rock, blues, gospel, oldies, dance, and even some bluegrass along with their own niche in originality of songs from their CD "A Collection of Now and Then" and their latest released CD "Menagerie".
Nashville recording artist, Jason Sturgeon, will headline the Bud Light Country Music and Brew Fest, taking the stage at 3 p.m. EST. and closing down the festival with his talented vocals. Sturgeon is renowned for his hit songs Angel Eyes, which premiered on CMT, and Simple Life, which received over two million hits on YouTube. Jason Sturgeon has a talent for song writing and a knack for bringing the audience to their feet. Sturgeon has opened for artists such as Gary Allan, Brooks & Dunn, Rodney Atkins, Luke Bryan, and Dierks Bentley, among others.
Taking place after the Heartland Half Marathon, 5K, and Team Challenge, the Bud Light Country Music and Brew Fest will feature delicious food from BR Associates and Villa Pizzeria with food straight from the grill and pizza straight from the oven. Hedinger Beverage will supply a world class selection of brews, with nine different brews on tap, including plenty of Bud Light of course! Festival goers that are twenty-one and over should come thirsty!
